Introverts yearning for peace & quiet
Prefer the undisturbed space of alone time
Knowing in that singularity
Exists an open door
For mind to expand
For Spirit to explore
Unhindered by the worldly desire for more
Self-contained in this sacred space
Introverts draw inward for reflection
Engaging in deeper introspection
Seeking & finding divine direction
Can we be alone, together?
Never needing
Yet receiving comfort
In the harmony of just being
In tune with one another
Waking to perfect stillness
Taking in the first light of early morn
Meditating in the space of something soft & warm
Gazing through the window at the snowstorm
Watching white flurries
Gently falling into a soft grey haze
Blurring the lines
Spontaneously shifting with the wind
They twirl left & right
Alone . . . Together
Time slows as we laugh & unwind
Huddled arm in arm
While day gives way to night
Watching the full moon rise in the painted sky
Listening to sparks pop as they fly
Away from the heat of glowing embers
Dancing in the center of stacked wood
Smoke curls rise into the brisk twilight
Inhale deeply to be greeted by
The sweet essence of dried herbs & burning cedar
Exhale releasing to the sky what cannot stay
With gratitude we bid farewell to another day
With clarity we are illuminated by light
With peace we welcome the spirit of night.
